I'm so not great at blogging....So welcome back after a year and few months...right?
To catch you up I got a great job after being laid off (due to lack of work-thanks to the economy-I was with a company for over 6 years-Govt. contract jobs), but thankfully it only took me 4 days to find a new job! I worked there exactly 1 (one) year scheduling appointments for Agricultural Workers to come 'legally' into the U.S. to work on a work visa/permit.
Then....We, as a family, decided to move to the north side of town for our daughters to be in a better school district. They love their school SO much and they are happy...but after spending $20 a day in fuel....it wasn't feasible for me to keep commuting to the 'old' town. I landed a job at the local University as an Administrative Secretary. August 20th will be 6 months.....it can get rather slow some days---ending with "y" and boring. I was told it gets busier....I'm still waiting as I take the last sip of my 5 hour energy to stay awake at work =)
Working through the summer while the girls are on vacation is a drag....Nana & Pop have enjoyed their company more than we have seen them these past few months. They've been somewhere different every week! When they get back to school and are asked what they did during the summer break those teachers & kids are going to think they are lying!!! They've been to the beach numerous times, the mountains-in North Carolina, Legoland twice, Wild Adventures numerous times, Tennessee, Helen GA, Gymnastics Camp, and to Titusville Florida. They have lived by the water, in the water or by and in the ocean all summer! They have the cutest tans and sun kissed highlights in their hair! Yeah I'm a little jealous :p
We also had to endure a very, very sad day when my M-I-L, (Husband's Mom) passed away while in the hospital recovering from knee surgery.
Her passing was unrelated to the surgery itself, but nonetheless complications that arose after the surgery. We know she is in Heaven smiling down on us as we talk with her and remember her daily. Myself and my S-I-L decided to continue her love of baking, as she did as a side business out of her home for friends/family and co-workers. We have been taking cake decorating classes at the local craft store. Tonight is actually our last night-so we have our final cake to decorate this evening! I'm excited but nervous...it's so surreal that I'm walking in the same footsteps she once took with these classes....with the same teacher, nonetheless!
Here are a few of my creations....I'm learning more each time how to tweak things and shortcuts. Hope you enjoy! Maybe I will get better at this and won't post with so much time in between....time will tell!

NEW PRODUCT I LOVE!!!
Attention: All stinky socks & musky gym bag towel owners...
HAVE I GOT YOUR ATTENTION?? hehe
I would like to introduce a NEW product to you: in finding this newest product and I loved it and wanted to share my experience with you!
Nope not selling anything and no meetings just merely letting my friends know about stuff I receive and get to try for FREE!
SO here it is...
NEW Downy UN STOPABLES (in wash scent booster) comes in either Fresh or Lush scents-I tried the Fresh as delivered to my mailbox.
After opening the box, inside there were the instructions, a free pair of Un Stopables socks and the sealed Un Stopables Scent Booster in Fresh scent.
After gathering a load of clothes and starting the water, you are to -per the instructions- shake a little or a lot (your discretion) into the lid/cap
and pour into washer, then you place your clothes/towels, etc. into the wash and close lid to start wash. It kindly states to not place in your liquid dispenser (you know the spot you in some washers you can pour your detergent in....also don't use in dryer. Can be used with or without fabric softener!
*I actually did a step backwards-I added the Downy Un Stopables Scent Booster after the clothes (as seen above), however, I just started the cycle so it had time to dissolve. By the time it switched over to the rinse cycle the whole house was filled with the clean scent. I did not even add fabric softener for this load.
When I pulled the clothes out of the washer to transfer to the dryer there was an obvious clean scent that was very pleasant not overbearing and not too perfumey - you know what I mean :)
After this load I did another...this time just towels. The towels, once dried, had a increase in fluff, even without using fabric softener. And we have enjoyed the smell after our showers!
Happy washing and Thanks for reading!

I smelled it first, which can be done without even opening it (so if you want to smell both scents in the store this is a plus) you gently squeeze the bottle to enjoy the fresh scent.

The product's directions states the freshness lasts for more than 30 days...I'll try to keep count and post an update if I should happen to wash something that sits that long in my closet.
For anyone interested in picking up this product to try...it just hit 'select stores' so keep your eye open for it!

It's Finally Friday!! (6.24.11)
Today I called a client....on the other end instead of "Hello", I get "I'd like a Margarita with salt", & "I'd like to get a Pina Colada". I so wanted to wait on the line and say...order me one too; but as you probably guessed this was an unknown open line and so I felt guilty and hung up. I called another listed number for the client-he was not in the same location, therefore, I retrieved the info. needed! Wow....hope they have fun tonight! J
I cannot wait for tonight....(well actually the whole weekend), but I'm exchanging children....taking my 8 yro to her Grandparents and getting my niece a 4 yro in return....so they can each have their own sleepovers! I doubt her G-Parents or I will get much sleep though. Cannot wait for the popcorn and hot chocolate...yep even in the summertime....don't know what it is...I started it when they were young and it stuck.....everywhere they go they ask for this when we put in a movie!! They may be strange but I love 'em!
Sunday: we are venturing off as a "convoy" with the fam and some friends to go float down a real lazy river! 1st time for our girls...this should be fun!
Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

Long week and it's only Thursday?!?
Well this week started off with what seemed to be major issues and then were diminished to minor issues...see what I'm talking about below:
Sunday started the week off....Hubby found a large mass in his stomach that was given him some pain. Decided to send him to the Dr's office Monday.
Monday....air conditioning quit again at house at 102 degrees and a little over 2 hours later it was solved...a broken wire, quick 15 min fix once the problem was located :) And no sales call fee YEAH! Hubby went to the Dr's office-stayed for over 4 hours drinking dye-induced liquid for a CT Scan then a "thanks we'll call you" response!
Tuesday: Woke up with an eye infection and had to miss work to go to the dr's office to get drops to go in my eye.....oh and worry about (Hubby's) test results!!!!
Wednesday: Worry about test results!!! A friend of my husband's were just blessed by adopting a 9month old little girl! They called me to do her 1st photo shoot!! I'm so excited!! Continue to worry about test results...because men always think the worst-don't you know?!?
Thursday: PRAISE GOD-got test results back....pulled muscle-healthy guy!! Ordered color flyers to promote my photography business~First Shot Photography! Reserved youngest daughter's b-day party at "Tiny Bubbles".
My greatest joy all week is finding "my parking spot" under the shade tree...aaahhh!
Have a great rest of the week everyone!

I am very simple....I don't have fancy things or electronic gig-its or
gadgets that make me swoon. I like on/off switches on my daughters'
toys...for the sheer madness of stopping a migraine! I love mute
buttons on remotes so I can listen to the precious voices say "Mommy, I
love you!"
SIMPLE: to me means it works when you turn it on and it stops when you
turn it off. Well, I've driven my truck I'd say 2 or 3 years...you know
about the time it gets paid off you realize the trouble begins.
My truck...which no I have not named...I sometimes call "my
baby"...just b/c we're together every day and it seems to fit (to me at
least)!
Well....meet My Baby! This is my White Ford Explorer...just right for
me with my preset (manually set) driver setting for my comfort,
favorite CD, and 2 daughters in booster seats in the back!
One December morning right when the weather started to dip into the
teens...I decided to warm it up prior to leaving the house. It decided
it wanted me to start it 3 times before it idled at an appropriate hum.
Loaded our girls up and out we went. No more troubles.
Then a couple days later I stopped by the Post Office on the way to
work, ran inside to drop off the mail, came back and my truck wouldn't
start! And boy was it cold outside!! I called my Hubby's Grandfather
(Papa) and he came to my rescue! Thankfully, the girls were staying
with their G-Grandparents for the holidays. Papa tried to jump the
battery to no avail-we loaded up in his truck and off to work I went. I
contacted the tow company and had a co-worker taxi me around for
lunch. :)
Of course the tow company called back and said ....there's no problem
we could find?!? Picked up truck, started just fine....and drove it the
rest of the week. I'm not blonde but man did I feel like my hair color
changed!
Six days later my truck did it again....this time I had our girls with
me. Tow truck picked us up on the side of the road and we had family
drive us home. We had the truck towed to the house so we could get
someone to look at it. Ended up being the fuel filter-but we didn't own
the release tool you have to have to disconnect and reconnect the
filter.....so was towed a 3rd time-this time to the shop.
Replaced the Fuel Filter $50, worked fine for a few days then needed a
new battery $96.
Drove fine for a few more days...then went out to leave for lunch on a
Friday and it wouldn't start again! I'm a simple girl remember??? So
this was driving me insane!!!! I had a co-worker take me home on our
lunch break and I borrowed my father's car "old faithful" we call
her....little extra car they keep around for such instances!
Let my truck sit Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sunday afternoon Hubby &
I came to visit my baby at work...of course it started right up for
him!!! SO I followed him driving it and me behind him in his truck to
the repair shop.
So my baby is currently in the bay getting a once over....hopefully it
won't be too much to fix it....on top of the @ $150.00 we've spent so
far!
So much for being simple!!!
