The stories they have to tell makes the house so loud in the afternoon. After unpacking the bookbag and getting a run down of who she saw and who's in her class, etc. etc.So let's get to the good stuff...The night before our oldest daughter's 1st day of school...we made sure she ate a good supper, got bathed and actually got to bed early. While she and her sister drifted off to sleep, we also decided to turn in early-it had been a loooonnnng day!The same night a little while later...here she comes into our room and we were in for a surprise! All dressed and ready...hair & teeth brushed and ready to go...go where you ask? TO SCHOOL!!! Only thing was it was still night time and she was so excited for her 1st day she 'dreamt' she slept all night and Mommy & Daddy overslept!! This all occured about 11:30 p.m. After convincing her to change back into her pj's and go back to bed we all finally slept.

Does she look 'tired' to you???
The funny thing is...I woke up this a.m. about 4:00 a.m. hearing footsteps coming down the hall! The dog didn't bark so I knew it was one of our girls-probably had a bad dream or something?? Well nope it was little Miss 1st Grader ready for her 2nd day!! I gently told her it wasn't quite time yet and to lay back down in her bed and I would wake her up in a little while.
I love that she gets excited about school...just means we'll have to look into getting her an alarm clock so she stops waking us up when she gets up 'early' lol
Hope everyone has a great day at school / work!
Cherish the little moments ;)
